Discovery

This was a crazy week. Luckily I had a day off yesterday! However, I went to school to work on my yearbook of which I'm partially responsible! It's a lot of fun and I love my team but, I won't lie, I definitely would have preferred to stay in my bed and sleep till noon. When I came back from school, I did some cleaning. I was getting tiered of my desk looking like as if there was been a battle on it.
I never thought I would find so many things! Not all of them are really useful but I keep accumulating them as I say that they can always come in handy. There are also so many memories I've discovered that might have been lost forever if I didn't keep some stuff. After this exhausting activity I felt inspired by some pictures of vintage I saw on blogger. I instantly decided take a look at my mom's old wardrobe. I found a few items that I absolutely had to have and guess what? My mommy was happy to give them to me and told me she was going to give them away of the by the end of the month.Thank God I was in a weird cleaning and looking for stuff mood.

A fabulous vintage jacket my mommy gave me

PS. I had a great dream in which I was at a Bazaar full with Alexander Wang shoes! Wish it was true...

A change of ideas

Yesterday was not one of my best days. I was feeling really down and I wanted to cry all the time. To change ideas, I worked on the sewing project that I talked about a week ago. I haven't done much but it sure took a lot of time. I guess since I want to be proud of it when I take it out of my bag, every single detail has to be absolutely perfect. These were a few pictures of the work I've done till now.
It will be a dark brown leather wallet folded in three. There will be two sections for card placement, an inner pocket for change so as two sections for paper money and bills. It will be closed by a beaded magnetic snap. I'm using recycled materials (leather) and things I already had at home (beads, threads).  However, I will have to buy magnetic snaps and a zipper but still, I'm still contributing to the environment's preservation!

As designer as shoes

Alexander Mcqueen was a genius, which explains his marvelous and breathtaking creations! They are unique, colorful and statement givers. When I hear his name I think about his shoes and instantly go gaga.

So here, I wanted to share with you some of his most brilliant masterpieces.

Enjoy :)

Emma X 2

The two Emmas (Robert and Watson) inspire me when I see their pictures. Both make me smile when I'm sad or had a bad day.

EMMA ROBERTS

Other then being undeniably gorgeous, this young actress has a splendid wardrobe.

She has her own style and know how to work it

I love how the handbag pops out

This dress is beautiful

EMMA WATSON

This young actress gets prettier each and every single day. Whether she has short or long hair, she always know how to work it and look absolutely fab! She also has an incredible sense of style.

Love the accessories

Adorable Outfit

Wearing a fabulous Elie Saab dress

Love the sequined dress

PS. This is definitely a name I would like to give to my future daughter. Good sense of fashion seems to be a syndrome of Emmas!

Cheers to New Year!

Even you know how hard (cough* cough* impossible) it is to keep New Year's resolutions. Nevertheless, I'll still try. It will be the same one as last year: Make at least 12 sewing creations.
I know it's not that many but it is to me. I've only managed to make 7 during the past 365 days.
How many will I do this year? We'll see by the end of 2012!

One of the 7 things I sewed in 2011

PS. Hope you keep your resolutions (if you have some) and spend a fab New Year filed of great moments that will become some of your best memories and that you'll get everything you want!

In seek of a perfect wallet

I know I haven't posted anything lately. I was sooo busy the past few weeks with exams, study and projects to hand in that I hardly had time for myself. During the first week of the Holidays I did the opposite by knitting (I improved my skills since the last time I mentioned it), sewing and watching movies all the time.

I've also been seeking the PERFECT wallet for already a while. Unfortunately the ones that I found were a little bit expensive (there are pictures of the ones I like bellow) and I would never buy a fake-leather or plastic one.

Inspired by these wallets and some other accessories, I decided TO MAKE ONE!
This way, I will keep the money I would have spend on a wallet for another purchase - hopefully for a gorgeous pair of shoes or a to die-for (Alexander Wang?) bag.

Here are a few sketches of my future wallet:

PS. I hope it will look nice!

Time to knit

Today, I've decided that it's time to learn how to knit!
There is a trend that's been going on for a while: Infinity scarves. There are many models from which you can chose in the length, material and color you want. Plus, they not only look good, they even feel good as well as keep you warm! :)
It is definitely one of this season's must-have!

Love the outfit

Nice color

PS. My goal is to make one of these myself and I guess I'm on the right track...

Hum...  a little bit of practice wouldn't do any harm
